Welcome to The Musiclab –where we’re passionate about music, and dedicated to providing quality tuition to students of all ages and abilities, within a friendly and professional environment.

We specialise in group classes which offer great value and also provide several other benefits to the student.

Within a group dynamic, students are able to “feed” off each other; they have the opportunity to develop communication skills, and appreciate their own and others’ achievements.

At The Musiclab there is a distinct emphasis on working with the student’s creativity, in order for them to learn how to develop the skills required to begin to create their own music.

We have a positive and versatile approach to teaching.

We analyse and break down well known songs and pieces, learning how they are structured and performed, as well as encouraging students to develop their own style and personality through their chosen instrument, and we seek to help each student achieve their full potential.

We believe there is not only one "right" way to play – music is open to interpretation, that’s what makes it so exciting after all!
Within a group class there is also the flexibility for the tutor to work with the needs of an individual. Every student is treated as a developing musician whatever their age or ability.

We believe the greatest motivation for progressing as a musician is very simple – enjoyment!

We aim to give our students the opportunity to learn and progress in a professional environment which will encourage them to maintain a professional attitude.

All our tutors are highly competent musicians and experienced teachers.

We organise our classes as much as possible based on ability and age (in that order). Classes are 50 minutes in length and run in conjunction with the school term.

We are currently also able to offer one to one tuition on drums and guitar.
