Guitar and Drum Lessons at Our Music School

If you’re currently on the fence about adding guitar or drum lessons to yours or your child’s schedule, you should take a look at our blog post on what values and benefits can be gained from learning a musical instrument. It may just help you make up your mind.

But, as you’re already on our page reading this post, I think it is fair to say that must be pretty interested in starting lessons and before we go into why you should learn with us instead of someone else, we want to let you know that we offer a free trial session. We really do believe that the best way to find out what we do and how we do it is by attending one of our sessions. You can then make a much more informed decision on whether you want to come along regularly.

Now, let’s get down to it. What can we offer you…

Firstly, we are happy to teach everyone. Whether you are five or fifty, experienced or not, we will be happy to work with you and help you progress on your chosen instrument. Many of our students that have come from other schools are impressed with our fresh and fun learning approach and we’re sure you will be too.

The Musiclab is not only a great place to learn and be involved with music, we are also in two great locations - Hoddesdon and Welwyn Garden City. Both locations are close to the county town of Hertford and are also convenient for many Hertfordshire towns and villages such as Ware, Stevenage, St. Albans, Cheshunt, Broxbourne and Hatfield. Both locations are also accessible from North London within around 20 minutes’ drive. So, we are incredibly accessible, reasonably priced and well, we’re far enough away from London that you can relax and escape from the hustle and bustle.

Unlike many educators of music, we specialise in group lessons. This is because we think some of the main benefits of playing an instrument include the chance to make new friends and work on your teamwork skills. Now let’s face it, you won’t gain any of these rewards if you go for lessons alone.

We also like to make the lessons fun, every musician out there knows that if you don’t enjoy yourself when you play then you will never progress. To become skilled at playing a musical instrument it takes dedication and motivation. Therefore, it doesn’t take a genius to realise that if the lesson is not enjoyable, the student won’t stay motivated or dedicated for long. Fun and enjoyment is at the heart of everything we do.

Finally, for any parents out there, we want you to know that your little ones are in safe hands. Safety is of paramount importance and so we carry out DBS checks on all of teachers for your peace of mind. We also work within a school safeguard policy, so you can be extra sure your children are safe.
